Shanghai Snow
It snowed yesterday in Shanghai. Snow is a tricky subject for photography - it moves too fast and the autofocus doesn't see it. The two above are about the best of a few shots out of our office window. Done with manual focus and shutter speed priority.
In other news the temperature in Shanghai is predicted to go form -7 to +20 C. Spring is just around the corner.

Money To Ashes
This is a shot of the ashes of the money we burned as offerings at the start of the new year. It looks like it's been through a grey scale filter but this is what it looked like up close. There's a little bit of colour in there if you look closely in the middle.

Huaihai Lu looked really pretty last night with the lights in the trees stretching away into the distance. Taken on the corner of Huaihai and Maoming at the middle of the Huaihai Lu crossing looking East.

Pictures Of Pollution In China
Lu Guang's award winning "Pollution in China" contains beautiful and disturbing pictures. The exhibition site is all in Chinese but the pictures speak for themselves. Well worth a look. English coverage is on China Hush.
