Part 2 is here

So I'm returned to a full set of front teeth. Early Christmas. Abutment is screwed into the implant and crown is stuck on top. This is the last teeth related post for a while.

This was all done at DDS Dental Care in Shanghai. We've been going there for years. If you're looking for a dentist in Shanghai they're my recommendation.

So after about 4 months I went back to the dentist. He bascially screwed a screw into the implant which will act like a spacer for the tissue to grow around. Creating space where the crown will be placed. In a couple of weeks should have a tooth again.

Fascinating video from Protect on taking charge of a situation in which you are attacked. They use the example of a shooter entering a classroom - attack the attacker rather than cower and be shot. It seems to work in the video. Of course, they're all large ex-Israeli soldiers so you mileage may vary.

About a year ago I had one of my front teeth pulled. Today I got an implant and stitches (see above) that will be crowed in 4 - 6 months. (If all goes as hoped.) Then I should be able to smile again. Long story. Too groggy to get into it now.
